Public Policy Decisions made by one country can have implications across the region. The lines between domestic and foreign policy have been blurring since the implementation of NAFTA in 1994.

Domestic Policies such as ethanol subsidies or “Buy American” provisions had consequences in the region. For this reason, is important to engage in collaboration to design public policy that takes into account the region as a whole and takes advantage of the regional context for the betterment of the people of all three countries.
